These gatherings are an opportunity for our global community of practice to exchange ideal and share stories. The DST 2021 9th International Digital Storytelling Conference (postponed from 2020) is being planned for University of Loughboro (UK).\u00a0 Plans also include an international conference in the Washington DC \/ Baltimore region in 2022.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/storytellingacademy.education\/\">Storytelling Academy &#8211; Loughborough University<\/a><br \/>\nApplied Storytelling\u00a0has become a key research strength at Loughborough over the past five years and one where we have an international reputation for excellence. Patient Voice\u2019s worldwide reputation within the Healthcare sector is long-established and it is here that the unique techniques and rigorous processes of extracting and processing individuals\u2019 stories, have been honed. Today, Patient Voices\u2019 methodologies are recognised by the National Audit Office, among many other major institutions, as a valid and uniquely illuminating method of gathering qualitative data.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/learninglab.si.edu\/\">Smithsonian Learning Lab<\/a><br \/>\nSmithsonian Learning Lab puts the treasures of the world&#8217;s largest museum, education, and research complex within reach. The Lab is a free, interactive platform for\u00a0discovering\u00a0millions of authentic digital resources,\u00a0creating content with online tools, and sharing\u00a0in the Smithsonian&#8217;s expansive community of knowledge and learning.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cocreationstudio.mit.edu\/\">MIT CoCreation Studio<\/a><br \/>\n&#8220;COLLECTIVE WISDOM: Co-Creating Media within Communities, across Disciplines and with Algorithms&#8221; &#8211; This first-of-its-kind field study of the media industry highlights trends, opportunities, and challenges to help advance the understanding and recognition of co-created works and practices\u2014efforts that function outside the limits of singular authorship. Part of MIT&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/opendoclab.mit.edu\/\">Open Documentary Lab<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.digitalstorytellinglab.com\/\">Columbia University Digital Storytelling Lab<\/a><br \/>\n&#8220;The Columbia DSL designs stories for the 21st Century. We build on a diverse range of creative and research practices originating in fields from the arts, humanities and technology.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.umass.edu\/hearourstories\/\">Hear Our Stories: Diasporic Youth for Sexual Rights and Justice<\/a><br \/>\nThis\u00a0program uses digital storytelling to examine sexual and reproductive health disparities among young parenting Latinas in Holyoke, Massachusetts. The project prioritizes uprooted young women and aims to reframe public conversations on young motherhood and sexuality, health, and reproductive rights across generations by building sexuality research.
