{"id":1707,"date":"2022-12-16T17:24:56","date_gmt":"2022-12-16T22:24:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stories.umbc.edu\/?p=1707"},"modified":"2022-12-23T16:22:40","modified_gmt":"2022-12-23T21:22:40","slug":"ccc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stories.umbc.edu\/index.php\/2022\/12\/16\/ccc\/","title":{"rendered":"Communications, Climate, Composting: a video project in Baltimore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the fall of 2022 students in MCS 395 Television Production and MCS 495 Video Ethnography partnered\u00a0 with the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sustainability.umbc.edu\/home\/what-umbc-is-doing\/cap\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UMBC Climate Action Steering Committee (CASC)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbclt.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">South Baltimore Community Land Trust (SBCLT)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, to create a series of short videos on waste and composting. SBCLT defines itself as \u201cworking to create permanently affordable housing, development without displacement and zero waste in Baltimore\u201d UMBC includes two groups working on composting under the CASC umbrella: UMBC Composting Initiative; Green Retrievers Residential Compost Program.
