This week curated by:
Bill Shewbridge – UMBC Media & Communication Studies, New Media Studio
For over a decade we have used digital storytelling at UMBC in many ways on campus and in the community. I am still surprised how the power of these personal stories can resonate with an audience. While the projects bring us together for a short period of time, the impact of these stories remains with us.
Here are examples from some of those projects. They include our work with community groups, ESL students, media & communication classes and faculty workshops. In the spirit of not being the person in the story circle who takes a pass, I’ve included a story of my own that was created during our first workshop with Story Center at UMBC in 2006. Enjoy!
