During the Spring semester of 2021, UMBC’s Shriver Center hosted a digital storytelling workshop with some of our community partners. While everyone was still working virtually, this allowed us to connect with our community partners and to offer a service to the partners who typically would have hosted Shriver Center Service-Learning and Community Engagement students. During the course of the workshop each individual developed a digital story of their choice, while simultaneously learning digital video skills to bring back to their unique organizations and communities. Several students in UMBC’s Community Leadership Masters Program also participated. The participants’ stories are shared below with their permission.
